Your Mac is running hot
macOS is slowing things down to cool off. Vitals tells you before the fans and the lag make it obvious.
Vitals sits quietly in your menu bar. When your Mac runs hot, runs short on memory or disk, or drains its battery faster than normal, it tells you in plain English what's wrong and what to do — then gets out of the way.
Watching quietly · Battery lasts until 2:20 PM
macOS is slowing things down to cool off, so apps feel sluggish and the battery drains faster. Close what you're not using, or check the busiest app.
Vitals waits until a problem has lasted long enough to matter, then sends a normal Mac notification: what’s happening, why it matters, and what to do about it.

It’s using the disk as overflow, so everything feels slower.
You’re on your iPhone’s hotspot. Big downloads will eat the rest fast.

It’s swapping to disk, so everything feels slower. Closing a few apps or tabs gets it back.
Below about 5 GB free, apps can crash and macOS updates fail. Free Up Space shows exactly what to clear.
After about two weeks without one, a restart clears slowdowns and finishes pending updates. Whenever it suits you.
You’re losing about 28% an hour, well above your usual. At this rate it lasts 2h 30m instead of 7h.
Set a limit for your iPhone’s hotspot and Vitals warns you before a big download blows your mobile data.
Pin live readings anywhere on your screen — over a game, a render, a video call. Six shapes, nine readable themes and one-click presets. It stays out of the way, and the Edge Dock can tuck away until you hover.
Free includes one reading in the Edge Dock with the Auto theme, so you can try it before you buy.
Show live readings right in the menu bar as icons or text, in your colors — or pin them on screen. From CPU and GPU to refresh rate, ping, Wi‑Fi signal and battery health.
Live menu-bar readings, colors and icon styles are part of Vitals Pro PRO
Free Up Space scans your home folder on your Mac and sorts what it finds into plain groups, biggest first. Every item is explained. Your own files are never pre-selected and nothing is deleted for you — what you pick goes to the Trash, where you can still put it back.
Vitals keeps a private, on-device log of how much your Mac downloaded and uploaded each hour, and over which connection, for up to 31 days.
Hotspot data guard counts from the moment you join an iPhone hotspot or other metered network, and warns you at 80% and 100% of the limit you set. Free.
Vitals learns how your MacBook usually drains, forecasts when it will run out, and tells you when something is draining it faster than normal.
About 6h 42m at 11% an hour
Vitals saves one reading a day, so you can see how your battery ages over months — and when it nears the 80% service mark.
You’ll make it, with about 1h 42m to spare.
See how long your Mac actually slept and whether the drop was normal. Free shows the headline; Pro shows the full report. Quiet when nothing was off.
Vitals adds actions to the Shortcuts app, so you can build automations or run them with a key. Keep Awake stops your Mac sleeping through a long download, and a global keyboard shortcut opens Vitals from anywhere. All free.
System monitors are great if you enjoy watching charts. Vitals is for everyone else.

Same app, same price. The Mac App Store keeps apps in a sandbox, so that edition can’t look at or quit other apps. The direct download can — it’s signed with Apple’s Developer ID and notarized by Apple.
Install and update through the App Store. Buy Pro with your Apple Account and it works on all your Macs.
Download from this site. Vitals can name the app behind a problem and quit it for you.

If you just want to know when your Mac needs attention, the App Store edition is the simplest. Get the full version if you want Vitals to name and quit the app behind a problem, show per-app battery and data use, or hide menu-bar icons. Pro costs the same in both, and an App Store purchase includes a key for the full version.
Yes. The full version is signed with Apple’s Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so macOS checks it before it opens. Drag Vitals to Applications and open it like any other app.
No. It checks every few seconds and typically uses well under 1% CPU. Feel free to watch it in Activity Monitor.
Vitals only speaks up when a problem has lasted long enough to matter. Pick Relaxed, Balanced or Sensitive, snooze any alert, or tell it to always ignore one. And no notification ever advertises Pro.
Nothing about you. There’s no account, no analytics and no tracking. The optional Ping reading times a connection to Apple’s captive.apple.com, and showing or activating a license key talks to our license server. Purchases go through Apple.
Mac App Store apps can only look at folders you choose. Free Up Space asks once so it can find files you might want to clear. It scans on your Mac and only moves files to the Trash when you pick them.
Start it in Settings › Pro. Everything is unlocked for 7 days, with no payment details needed. When it ends, Pro features lock again and the free features keep working. You’re never charged unless you buy Pro.
